The Enchanted Chalise

"Have you drank from the chalise yet?" Arriana inquired as she plucked the beautiful gold cup from his hand.
"No. According to the legend one must be worthy of a sip from this chalise or death comes on swift wings. I'm not quite ready to go just yet," Artis replied as he stood to put on his robe. " We really must be getting back to Hogswart before they notice that we are gone. Do you still have some floo powder?"
"Yes, are you sure it's still safe for us? What are you going to do with the chalise?"
"I'm going to hide in the forbidden forest when we get back to school," Artis told her as he took some of her floo powder. Seeing the worry on her face he assured her that it was for the best. No one would think to look there.

New Knitting Bag

I've decided that I need a new knitting bag. My current one has seen its better days and is starting to tear in the front. It's really not the bags fault though. I'm hard on bags. I like to carry everything that I think I might need. So I've been looking at the Namaste Laguna Bag and the Jordana Paige bags. I'm leaning really hard towards the Laguna Bag. It looks nice and roomy but I'm wondering if it can hold up over time. Like I said I'm hard on bags.

News Around HSKS7
- a brief highlight of what your classmates are up to.

Sian a bright first year in Hufflepuff has thrown herself into her homework with such relish that all of her teachers love her. Many are confused why the young lady seems to have been targeted by dementors so lately. The ministry is investigating the matter as we speak.

Prendolyn of Griffindor was called out of town to attend a state Quiddich championship with her family. Her team came close to winning but lost when the seeker of the other team caught the snitch with his mouth. It was an exciting match to say the least.

Emma of Slytherin has been busying teaching the youngest member of her family how to knit the muggle way due to underage wizard restrictions. She finds it very relaxing to do it that way also, but don't tell her that I told you.

From the frying pan to the fire!

Arriana having planned for just this kind of betrayal took a step back right onto the portkey that she had made out of an ordinary garden hoe. Landing on the street behind Diagon alley, Arriana carefully made her way to her hotel room. Once upstairs she remove her cloak, the extra padding she had added to her clothes and her wig.
"That was a close one," she told her brother as he removed the cuffs.
"I'm glad that you took a fake with you. I couldn't imagine what would have happened if this had fallen in the wrong hands," he told her as he held up the enchanted chalise that gave the drinker eternal life according to legend.
The ministry had been after it for months since Voldermont had taken over.

New Homework

The shadows lengthened as the lonely witch waited in the graveyard to make her connection. Where was he? He couldn't have forgotten about her, could he? The shiver of cold slithered down her back and her heart jumped to her throat as she spotted someone in the distance. Was that him? She had never met him before, but hoped it was her contact. If she were to be caught by Ministry officials with this in her possession, it could mean real trouble for her whole family! Impatient and fearful, the stranger approached too fast, but too slow all at once. "How did I get myself into this?" she muttered under her breath. The faces flitted though her mind of those that coerced her into submission. Assuring her that this was the only way for all of them to be safe.
"Do you have it?" asked the stranger in a gravelly voice that didn't match his youthful face. Nodding she reached into the inner pocket of her cloak, extracted a small black velvet pouch and dropped it into his out stretched hand. As soon as the bag touch his hand magically cuffs appeared on her wrists. "Miss Stylos you are under arrest and will be sent to Azkaban to await trial." Stay turned more to come.

Bi-weekly Question #5

What knitting/crochet pattern have you worked that you could see yourself making over and over and never get tired of? I don't know of any pattern that I could make over and over again to be honest. I love to knit hats and a few of them I have knit twice but no more than that. I like trying a lot of different patterns and challenging myself to top the last thing that I made. I also like to make things that are constructed differently. One sweater and one vest that I recently made, I'm thinking of making them again in different colors of course but that is about as far as it goes.

Hogsmeade Weekend

I'm just now getting over my butterbeer hangover enough to make it to my computer to record the events of this weekend. My roommates and I made our way to the candy store and I bought as many chocolate frogs as my pocket could hold. I hate running out of those. Then I went to the Post Office and placed a package in the mail for my Mom. No real reason just cause. Then we made our way to the pub and played drinking games until I was under the table. I'm really not that go at them. Even when I went to Muggle schools.

Potions

On my way to potions class I tripped over Knitsy our house elf and slid one way while my books and quills went the other. She felt horrible thinking that it was her fault but I assured her that it was mine. I should have been watching where I was going but Snape was on my mind. I'm horrible at potions and that man never lets me forget it. I'd already spent one detention with him and seeing as how I'm running late right now I'm positive that I'll be spending another evening with him instead of practicing with my Quidditch team. Quickly picking up my things I raced off in a mad dash once again. With barely a minute to spare I landed gratefully in my seat. Snape glared at me but I didn't get detention. Yah!

Mittens

For my humdrum mittens I've already thought up a theme for the package(vernal equinox) and brought some Lambs Pride in a wonderful color. It's so pretty I would share it with you but you never know who is stalking your blog. The mittens I picked out are so marvelous that I may have to make a pair for myself.
In other swap news- I'm in two others I've decided what hat I'm making for my spoilee. For my HSKS7 swap I'm waiting to hear if we are supposed to be making bags for our spoilees. Until then I'll try to come up with a theme for her package.

When I unwrapped it I fell in love with everything. I have three lovely skeins of yarn, some exotic red tea, a Spin-off magazine, some dark chocolate every girls dream, a beautiful red mirror, an exquisite pale pink mug, and a wonderful smelling yankee candle. Can we say spoiled! I love everything!

Why did I learn how to knit?

Even though it was only about nine years ago it seems like forever. Back then I was an avid crocheter and every pattern that I would see and really want to make was knitted and I found myself disappointed every time. So I decided to teach myself to knit with a book. That didn't work out and just when I was about to give up I came across the magazine Easy Knitting with a soap opera actress on the front who said that her favorite knitting shop was in my city. Armed with that magazine I went to that shop and the owner Brenda taught me to knit. I soon gave up crocheting and have been an avid knitter every since. I'm not knocking crochet. I just was not a very good one.
