Xmas Knitting

It's that time again. Once again I'm making a list and checking it twice for my knitting gifts. I'm so ready.

Lent Knitting

This Lent I'm doing a service instead of giving something up. I plan to do some charity knitting for the babies here in my town.

New Years Theme

My theme for the New Year is: Swing for the fences!
This year I'm going for it. I'm going to stop waiting for the perfect time. There is no time like the present. So here are my plans. The numbers have no meaning it is just as I remember them.
1. Write and send in a completed novel to a publisher.
2. Purge my stash and frog all projects that I'm never going to finish.
3. When I finish a project, I can only buy the amount of yardage used in that project. Gifts do not count.
4. Try to spin at least 15 minutes a day.
5. Pick out and start Christmas presents by no later than May this year.
6. Try natural dyeing.
7. Design and knit a cabled cardigan and plan a fair isle cardigan for next year.
Wow that's a lot and I think I will stop now. Be back next month with a status update.

Startitis Is Real

I'm having a problem with startitis and I'm losing badly. In the last two weeks I have casted on for two projects with the plan to cast on at least two more projects. I will say that at least one is for Christmas. Yeah me. Boy I feel better now. 😄

Spinning

In the next few days I'm going to begin a spinning challenge called the Just BattyChallenge hosted by the Jenkins spindle group on Ravelry.  I'm going to spin on a spindle two 50 gram batts and ply them together. I have from April 1st to June 1st I think. I'll post a picture each week to track my progress .

Mommy n me sweaters

I have been bitten by the matching sweater bug. Thanks for the enabling Knitmore Girls! On the needles is the first of many, The Little Oak by Anna Dakos in Malabrigo Arroyo. I ordered some squirrel buttons for when I finish and the next sweater for her will be The Antler Cardigan which I bought the yarn for also.
