Arriana rides again!!

After a freak accident that broke my broom in half I'm finally back in the air with a new Nimbus 8500. It is a really smooth ride and very response to the slightest touch. Hopefully all of my teammates will get one so that we can pound the competition into the pavement. Well I'm off to practice.

Sample Story

Sometimes a story just enters my mind begging to be written so here goes.

"You really should have been wearing a vest Storm," my doctor and best friend Mira fussed as she removed what had to be the fifteenth bullet from my chest. It's a good thing that I'm immortal.
"I was but the bullets went straight through it and caused the damn thing to start burning on my skin. I removed it on the drive over," I told her though clenched teeth. "Are you almost done yet?"
"I'm on the last one stop being such a baby."
I laughed and immediately regretted it as pain shot through my chest. Sure, I was almost impossible to kill but did he have to empty his whole clip into me. I was the lucky one, the rest of my team not so much. The bullets that these men used were demon killers and powerful enough that one shot took out most of the people with me. The only reason I was still alive was probably because I wasn't all demon. I was half-vampire and half vampire slayer. I had all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses.

Quidditch

Whew, I just made it in time for practice. Our Capt Clara and her asst Rowan run a pretty tight ship. I can't wait for out first match. We are going to crush them under our axes! I've narrowed down what I want to make of my spoilee but I'm going to keep it close to my chest just in case she's checking out my page. Well practice is getting ready to start I'll be back later.

Hello From the Muggle World

Over the past month I've been bogged down with muggle affairs. Just when I think the fire is out another on pops up in the opposite corner. This weekend we are having a meeting with the board of my muggle organization to hammer out the details of our conference next year. I hope that things go well but I'm preparing for the worst. After this is done there will still be work to do but we'll know what direction to head in.

Now I'm heading off to Quidditch practice!

Homework For HSKS 9

1. Someone with the same craft as you. Penelope of Flitwick
2. Someone who was born in the same month. Andromeda Finch-Fletchley
3. Someone from a different country. Emma Wigworthy
4. A new HSKS Quidditch Player. Stellwa Quinn
5. A player who has been in 3 or more HSKS swaps. Minerva Lovegood
6. A player who has a bigger stash than you! Cassandra Crimsonchin
7. A player who both knits and crochets. Victoria Pettigrew
8. Someone who has the same favorite color as you. Madam Ferula McGonagall

I had a lot of fun checking out my team mates and the competition. Emma is a wonderful designer of knee high socks and I seriously want to make a few of them. Andromeda has the most wonderful Pisces mittens on her project page that speak to the Pisces in me. Pisces Rock! I had the hardest time finding someone who likes red. Madam Ferula McGonagall was one of the few to have it in the list of colors that she likes. Victoria has mastered the one craft that I could never do well- Crochet. I swear that it hates me. Well my memory spell has failed me. Now I off to the closet to pull out my Nimbus and check out how its flying. Must get to practice. See Ya!

"Are you going to any fiber fests this autumn? If so which ones and why?"

I've already gone to my favorite wool festival. The Wool Gathering in Yellow Springs, OH. This year I bought all fiber and a few knitting knick knacks(for my secret pals). I got 4oz of undyed merino roving, 1oz of dyed in the locks wool, 4oz of super soft gray/brown merino roving, a handmade dark wood wraps per inch tool, and 16oz of a steel blue merino roving. I'm in fiber heaven now I just need to make some time to spin. I may also go to an Alpaca Festival that is taking place in a couple of weeks. I love getting alpaca samples from these festivals.

I feel so spoiled. This is my first package from my Recession Swap partner. I got two different sock yarns some Koigu and Mama Llama. Lace weight from The Unique sheep. A cool book filled with all kinds of mittens and gloves. A pretty suede pink journal with gel pens to write in it with and a cool shopping bag to use as I see fit.
See just spoiled!
