Look What I Got!

I got a wonderful felted original design bag, some knit pick circulars for knitting socks two-a-time, matching note paper in two different sizes, Knit picks Stroll sock yarn in the Gypsy Tonal colorway.

Above are some cute little stitch markers that were hidden inside the bag. These are perfect for my lace knitting. I love everything.

The end is near!

This has been a world wind semester at Hogwarts. I hate that I didn't get to go to Hogsmeade this time but maybe next semester I will. I'm current putting the finishing touches on my kit despite my dogs repeated interference. Such as ripping up my pattern and my project on seperate occations. He is a really bad dog but so cute when my project is not in his mouth. I will be sending my kit this Friday no matter what.

Holiday Weekend

My holiday weekend for the most part was a blast. The only downer was that my Grandmother who is very ill is not bouncing back as quickly as we would like. She looked pretty good, way better that I expected actually but she is still in the hospital and still extremely weak. I'm praying for her recovery.
Now on to the fun part. My first day there in Mississippi I ran into an old friend that I hadn't seen in about twenty years. And let me say he has aged very well. He is so fine to me. He and my cousin were the best of friends and that meant that when I came down for the summers we would all hang together. I would borrow my Grandmother's car and my cousin and I would pick him up and we'd ride all over town. I say town because I'm from a very small town in Mississippi and it didn't take more than about fifteen minutes to ride all over town if that but as teenagers we thought we were doing something. Anyway it was so nice to see him and I made sure that I got his number. He now lives in the ATL which is only about seven hours from me. I would definitely make that ride to see him if things go okay between us.
That same night my mother and I went to the local hole in the wall blues club. I played pool and danced and generally had a great time. So much so that I repeated it the next night. I am really glad that I went and saw my peeps and my old friend.
